Regenerate Pennine Lancashire is a new kind of organisation called an economic
development company, designed to help increase prosperity and life choices for
people living and working in Pennine Lancashire and to attract in others to work, live
or visit.

Regenerate is owned by the seven Pennine Lancashire local authorities: Lancashire
County Council and the borough councils of Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley,
Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley and Rossendale. It will be led by a governing body
made up of the leaders of the seven councils, and by a board mostly made up of the
councils’ chief executives and representatives from the private sector.
The aim of the construction agency is the help Construction employers find Local employees in Pennine Lancashire

Regenerate Pennine Lancashire, through its Constructing the Future skills project, will ensure that the opportunities created by the construction spend activities directly benefit the communities of Pennine Lancashire. This will be by increasing jobs and skills locally and engaging local businesses within the supply chain for the areas major projects.
As part of the project a jobs brokerage agency is being developed. This is to be called The Construction Agency.

The Construction Agency is a brokerage service that helps to provide skilled labour equipped with site-ready skills to support Construction projects within Pennine Lancashire.

It's aims are:

• to increase the supply of apprentices and qualified / skilled people to work in the local and nation supply chains
• to promote economic inclusion within the construction industry
